Course Description:
The talk lesson is a senior class for graduates in chemical biology, organic chemistry and related areas. On the basis of rationale and measures of organic chemistry and chemical biology, students will be able to gain a knowledge of the general research front of molecular modification and chemical labeling; On the other hand, students are expected to learn the application of molecular modification and chemical labeling in the design of drugs and molecular probes, from teaching and discussing about instances, especially from the literature research by students themselves. The course is purposed to lay a foundation for students’ future scientific study.
Course Content:
Chapter 1 Modification and characterization of DNA Modification and characterization of both ends of DNA; Modification and characterization of the middle chain of DNA; Modification and characterization of DNA analogues. Chapter 2 Modification and characterization of proteins Modification and characterization of different amino acid residues in proteins; Modification and characterization of protein analogues. Chapter 3 Modification and characterization of drug molecules and molecule probes Chapter 4 Discussion of molecule design and characterization methods Theoretical approach:molecular docking method, quantitative structureactivity relationship method; Construction and development of new experimental methods.
