School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of Graduate University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (GUCAS) was founded in September 2004. As the present dean of the school, I warmly welcome you to pursue graduate education and do scientific research here. In order to keep the courses advanced, we have designed the effective curriculum system and employed more than 100 professors and researchers from institutes and famous colleges and universities as part-time teachers. All of them are active in the first line of scientific research. Together with the 24 full-time teachers of the school, an innovative, vigor and high level teaching team has been formed. They undertake the teaching task of two first-class disciplines of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering and Technology, which including more than 100 basic and professional courses in three semesters of Autumn, Spring and Summer.
Over past years, teachers here have engaged actively in scientific research work and have published hundreds of articles on important academic journals both in home and abroad. They also have published a number of academic monographs and applied many national patents. Teachers here have completed and are undertaking more than 60 projects, including major national science and technology projects, the Ministry of Science and Technology “973”, “863” projects and the National Natural Science Fundation of China projects, as well as a number of open laboratory fund projects and transverse fund projects.
Current enrollment in the school is more than 600, including Master candidates and Ph.D. candidates. We are looking forward to talented young people around the world to join our team.
