Word Processing & IT Access: This is a lecture course and no assignments are made. However, to enhance the course “hands-on” assignment experiences are simulated using actual student assignments. Students are encouraged to work the assignments on their own or in small groups outside of class. The writing assignments employ MS Office and ChemOffice and require access to online services including SciFinder, SDBS, and PDB database |

This is a lecture course designed for postgraduate students majoring chemistry, with the aim of introducing the related procedures involved in scientific writing in chemistry, including preparing a scientific paper, where to publish-types of scientific journals, submission and responsible authorship, understanding peer review, responding to reviewers and submission of revision, peer review ethics, plagiarism and scientific misconduct. |
