Chemistry
Name: Supermolecular Chemistry Lecture Series
Catalog Number: 416006Y Hours/Credits: 14/1
Prerequisite(s):
Modern chemistry, materials chemistry
Course Description:
It is intended for graduate students whose research fields relate to chemistry and materials chemistry. It divides into several topics that are initiated by researchers from different directions. Through the study of this course, the students can extensively understand the basic problems, research method and frontiers in the field of Supramolecular Chemistry, which lay a foundation for students entering the laboratory work.
Course Content:
The outline of the course includes: an introduction to supramolecular chemistry; the selectivity of chemical reaction controlled by microreactor; molecular recognition and self-assembly of cyclodextrin; supramolecular chirality---basic concepts and applications; the application of supramolecular chemistry in nuclear chemistry; supramolecular chemistry based on novel macrocyclic compounds.
