Chemical Engineering & Technology
Name: Catalytic Reaction Engineering(Ⅱ)
Catalog Number: 422016Y Hours/Credits: 20/1
Prerequisite(s):
Physical Chemistry; Principles of Chemical Engineering; Catalyst Reaction Engineering
Course Description:
The Course is major core curriculum of postgraduate whose major is industrial catalysis, is subsequent course of “Catalyst Reaction EngineeringⅠ” and also can be selective course of postgraduate whose major is other course. The course demands students to master the complex physical phenomenon , such as the backmixing of flowing reactor , separation , and corresponding reactor modeling method ; master the principle、design method and modeling project of this kind of heterogeneous catalyst reactor by introducing and analyzing practical case on fluid-bed catalyst reactor ; introduce common industrial catalyst deactivation and make a claim for the design about industrial catalyst reactor . The course makes for the combination of theoretical knowledge and practical application, develop the ability of solving complex practical catalyst reaction engineering problem in catalyst reaction engineering.
Course Content:
Chapter 1 Non-ideal flow and practical reactor model The complex physical phenomenon, such as the backmixing of flowing reactor, separation, and corresponding reactor modeling method; Narrate simply calculation model of non-ideal flowing reactor. Chapter 2 Fluid-bed catalyst reactor Basic concepts、structure、heat transfer、and mobility of fluid-bed catalyst reactor, industrial application case analysis of fluid-bed catalyst reactor. Chapter 3 Catalyst deactivation and industrial countermeasure Common catalyst deactivation phenomenon、deactivation reason and deactivation mechanism ; Make corresponding demand on design about industrial catalyst reactor
